When it is time to harvest for the first and last time, we leave 30% of the
potatoes without harvesting. Potatoes that are left harvested should be at least 50-60 cm between them. They will sprout by themselves and begin to grow as the right time comes next year. There is no need to think about when I should plant potatoes anymore. Nature will do it by itself.
For example, the potatoes you see in this photo are not planted. We left some of these delicious potatoes that we grew last year without irrigation and they gave their first shoots today. After about 100 days, we will harvest these potatoes and we will leave some of them under the ground for the next year’s harvest season. Of course we will not irrigate them anymore. They will grow by themselves. Thus, you can grow potatoes without soil tillage.
