A few sentences from Mr Ikawa, one of Masanobu Fukuoka’s students and a natural farmer:

”Listening to voices. Watching the colors.

Recently, I have been receiving a lot of questions and comments about natural farming from people who are looking for easy answers to their questions about techniques and results.

From a natural farming field for only a few months.

Why is Chinese cabbage not curled or the color of the leaves is not good? What should we do?

What should I do? “” I sowed the seeds but they don’t germinate.

“Is the Daikon radish not growing?

If this is the case, add a generous amount of chemical fertilizer and sprinkle a generous amount of insecticide.

Why not use Roundup to remove weeds?

Natural farming is not something to be taught.

I believe natural farming is about loving nature, believing in nature, respecting the wisdom of our ancestors and enjoying the process.

It’s not about quota, it’s about feeling the wind in the field, talking to the birds, touching the grass, smelling and feeling the soil, seeing the sounds of the forest and hearing the colors.

This is the true joy of gardening, but instead of enjoying it, we focus on results and form.

This is a waste and a pity.

At least I don’t want this to happen to the students of agriculture faculty.

Let’s throw the books and touch the world.

Experience (not knowledge), is the only way of natural farming. “
