We started to harvest our first cherries. The price is fixed to 2 euros for every product of the farm. The monoculture cherry producers who have to sell their products to merchants sell the cherries for 3 euros. It is valid for only three days. After Monday, it will be slowly decreased to 0,60 euros. But our price is same as 2 euro for whole season. The cherry harvest will go on till mid\/late-June.<\/p>\n

The farmers who can\u2019t sustain with monoculture farming are leaving their farms every year. If it goes like this, there will be no farms in a couple of years. Then, the big companies are gonna buy those lands and they will be the only dominators of foods. We are losing our freedom step by step and we also pay for it to happen.<\/p>\n

The volunteers has arrived to the farm after some long quarantine days. They started to harvest cherries after having some rest.<\/p>\n

A good cherry harvester collects 100kg in a day. But we just feel lucky If volunteers can collect over 40kg. Nowadays, there are not many farm workers due to corona outbreak.<\/p>\n

Of course, it is not really possible to harvest tons of cherries with volunteers. We don\u2019t really like it but some of the cherries will be jam.<\/p>\n
