It’s a fuzzless fruit and can be eaten without peeling. It is smaller – walnut-sized – than the known kiwi and has an intense aroma. It is a very fast growing and self-pollinating climber. Depending on the soil productivity, it grows between 6 and 10 meters per year and starts to bear fruit within 3 years. It can withstand extreme colds like -35 degrees. If it’s planted next to the trees whose roots act as pumps, its need for water is seriously reduced and the possibility of climbing the tree arises which is an indescribable happiness for the kiwi. There are about 50 to 60 fruits in each meter of its branches. It can be grown easily from core and scion. It can also tolerate half-shadow areas. Although the plant itself is resistant to diseases, its fruits are sensitive to deformation and therefore its market value is almost negligible. It is one of the blessings that nature offers to people and unfortunately about to be forgotten and it is one of the foods that only people living in nature can reach. It is one of the reliable members of a food forest and is harvested precisely during this period.

Its homeland is Japan, China, Korea and Russia.
